Last year was a groundbreaking year for the new Ohio Democratic Party. With your help, we put together and began to implement our strategic plan—which we call our “1618 Strategy”—to make sure Ohio is blue in both 2016 and 2018.

The heart of last year’s plan was to strengthen our bench of great public servants, starting at the local level. And through our Main Street Initiative, we saw some great victories on election day—winning mayor, council and school board seats in large cities and small towns, and in both Democratic and Republican communities. Now our winning candidates are sworn in and serving those communities.

We also invested time and resources in 2015 building the type of up grassroots army it will take to win Ohio in 2016 and beyond. Our growing field team has already enlisted 1,000s of active volunteers throughout the state—this team will be the key to getting our vote out in November.

With 2016 upon us, we know that as Ohio goes so does the nation. And we will need you to be part of our winning team.
