Ohio Republicans say guidance lacking on drawing new congressional map
May 18, 2019
Republican lawmakers and the state solicitor say a federal court hasn’t given much guidance on how to draw a new, constitutional congressional map. Considering GOP has gerrymandered state and congressional districts for so long, not a surprise they would need ‘guidance on how to draw a new, constitutional congressional map.’ In the meantime, a law firm from Raleigh, N.C., has been paid $1.13 million to represent the House and Senate in the case at a rate of $375 per hour. Ohio taxpayers dollars working against us for fair districts. Really.

2.08.19 – One of the last ‘acts’ that Mike DeWine did as Ohio Attorney General was to file a motion to dismiss the gerrymandering lawsuit that is in front of a three-judge panel in federal court in Cincinnati. DeWine continued his penchant for wasting Ohioans tax dollars. Fortunately, late today the same three-judge panel dismissed DeWine’s request. Thus, the lawsuit will continue as scheduled on March 4 moving forward to fairer congressional districts.
