COLUMBUS– The latest Public Policy Polling Ohio Survey shows the State Auditor’s race between Democratic candidate John Patrick Carney and incumbent Dave Yost as nearly neck-and-neck. 40% of people polled stated they would vote for John Patrick Carney, while 42% stated they would vote for Dave Yost, and 17% remained undecided.
In response, Carney for Ohio campaign manager Brendan Kelley released the following statement:
“These numbers prove that John Patrick Carney is succeeding gathering support as he travels around the state to talk about the need to strengthen our communities and watch out for the tax dollars of every Ohioan. Auditor Yost has had more than three years to tell voters he deserves another term and the polling shows he hasn’t made the sell. By contrast, I see support growing for John Patrick Carney with every trip he makes. Our campaign is well-positioned to win in November.”
