In April, more Ohioans gave up looking for work than found jobs. Just 12,600 Ohioans became employed, while 14,000 job searchers dropped out of the labor force all together – 2,800 jobs were also lost in the education and health services. [Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services, 5/16/2014.

Governor Kasich will proclaim this month’s report as a victory and, in doing so, he’s ignoring 25,000 Ohioans who in the last two months who have been forced to give up searching for jobs all together.”
