Today, the Ohio Democratic Party in coordination with the DNC announced the hire of Lindsay Langholz who will serve as the Voter Protection Director at the Ohio Democratic Party. In response, Secretary of State candidate and State Senator Nina Turner released the following statement:
“This is another important step towards protecting each and every Ohioans’ right to vote. Not only have Republicans’ ignored national public outcry against their continued voter suppression tactics, they have actually ramped up their attacks on voting rights in recent weeks. The Republicans’ goal with these changes to our elections is to game the system in 2014, 2016, and beyond—but we’ve successfully fought back against them before, and we’ll do everything we can to make Ohio’s elections fair once again.”
