The Secretary of State issued Directive 2020-3 to all county boards of elections that have polling sites located at senior living facilities to move the site to a new voting location to ensure the residents health and wellbeing are taken into consideration due to COVID-19 concerns.

County boards of elections have the option of sending out a postcard to affected voters whose voting site have been moved to a new location. In addition, staff will be working with those senior living facilities impacted by the move to ensure voters at those locations are able to vote absentee without leaving their facility. Bipartisan teams of county board of elections officials are on-hand to provide this service between now and election day.
